Stockholm, Sweden – April 6, 2010

Swedish Orphan Biovitrum entered into a share purchase agreement in connection with the acquisition of Cambridge Biotechnology Limited (CBT) in April 2005. In accordance with this agreement the vendors of CBT are entitled to deferred payments as a result of Swedish Orphan Biovitrum’s sale of its leptin modulator program to AstraZeneca.
